Yes | No Welcome to the Current Middle Ages!The East Kingdom is a part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc.(SCA), a not-for-profit educational organization which studies theMiddle Ages by recreating the pastimes and crafts of theperiod. International in scope, our activities include tournaments,festivals, classes, feasts, and all manner of arts and sciences you wouldfind in the culture of pre-1600s western Europe.The SCA is participatory. There are no spectators, and every person playsa part in the creating the atmosphere. For some, this means making anattempt at the proper clothing (we'll help you get started). For others,it means learning calligraphy, fencing, dancing, or whatever activitiespique your interest.We hold "events" (what we call our gatherings) nearly every weekend. Somefeature tournaments and feasts, while others specialize in learning moreabout particular crafts. The summer months often feature full weekends ofactivities concentrated around a camping event, often ending with bardicrevelry around campfire.Come join us!
